Hope you had a lovely Valentine’s day yesterday 🙂 I had a wonderful evening at home with my love, enjoying things we love: steak, macarons, and An American in Paris! ♥
I like Valentine’s day because it brings to focus why love is a celebration. Ayn Rand writes:
One gains a profoundly personal, selfish joy from the mere existence of the person one loves. It is one’s own personal, selfish happiness that one seeks, earns and derives from love.
Celebrate love, on Valentine’s day and always.
Oslo Fashion Week is here! I got to be a crew member of Oslo Runway, which has been a very interesting experience. Having worked both in the spotlight as a model and backstage as a volunteer, I find that there is just something about the atmosphere of a fashion show that is both thrilling and comforting at the same time. It was nice to make a new friend who shared common interests with me as well 🙂
In addition to being backstage at Sentralen, I also got to attend two of the shows at different venues: Admir Batlak at the Munch Museum and Iben at Vippa.
The Admir Batlak show was my favourite. I liked the colourful furs, feminine silhouettes, and subtle florals. It is nice to see that Norwegian designers are beginning to embrace bold colours.
The shows put on by Oslo Runway have been very interesting because each collection had a unique flair while also retaining a common Norwegian minimalism as its base. I look forward to next time!
