Friday night with Anne Lindmo

Yesterday, Eirik and I took his mother to see Lindmo, a popular Norwegian talk show. It was interesting to be part of the audience while the show was filmed (to be aired today). The host, Anne Lindmo, was quite charming and funny; the guests she had were very diverse.

Lindmo interviewed comedian Thomas Giertsen, who was then met by hypochondriac expert Ingvard Wilhelmsen. Following them came Tobias “Emma” Ellingsen, a boy with some serious identity issues. The show concluded with pop artist Mugisho, a young boy from Congo who moved to Oslo and was offered a recording contract with Warner Music just two hours after he submitted a song to them! Mugisho performed “Play With You” and was accompanied by his family, who gave me some serious #FamilyGoals.

It was a nice way to spend Friday night and I learned a little more about Norwegian culture 🙂

Ralph Lauren Iconic Style

From Audrey Hepburn to Diana, iconic style never goes out of season. Timeless clothes evoke sophistication and someone who knows her own style has unwavering self-esteem: she knows the power of her own mind and trusts her judgement.

This season, Ralph Lauren, America’s favourite designer, has launched his Iconic Style collection – a selection of the most exceptional pieces in his vast repertoire of classic designs.

What I believe in is the timelessness of an attitude, the timelessness of style.

Ralph Lauren

The campaign features ten strikingly different models: Vittoria Ceretti, Margaret Qualley, Stella Tennant, Jacquetta Wheeler, Frederikke Sofie, Fei Fei Sun, Jean Campbell, Alicia Burke, Lulu, and Cameron Russell.

I aspire to create a sense of timelessness, a kind of foreverness, a style that is enduring.

Each stand-out piece of this collection reflects individuality while also capturing the essence of enduring American style. However they are worn, they will be worn for years to come. Here are my favourites from the whole collection:

Which of these pieces would you like to have? Let me know in the comments!

All hearts’ day

Hope you had a lovely Valentine’s day yesterday 🙂 I had a wonderful evening at home with my love, enjoying things we love: steak, macarons, and An American in Paris! ♥

I like Valentine’s day because it brings to focus why love is a celebration.

One gains a profoundly personal, selfish joy from the mere existence of the person one loves. It is one’s own personal, selfish happiness that one seeks, earns and derives from love.

Ayn Rand

Celebrate love, on Valentine’s day and always.
